VX Driver™
Video Flicker-Free Dimming
Meteor's proprietary platform engineered to minimize invisible LED flicker. Combining optimized Constant Current Reduction (CCR) and precise PWM, we deliver absolute stability up to 960 fps.

Light Instability on Display
Light modulation is complex. Small fluctuations in light output can create visual artifacts such as visible flicker at low frequencies, as well as stroboscopic effects and phantom arrays at higher frequencies when objects or the viewer are in motion.
These artifacts may be imperceptible to the human eye but become obvious through cameras and displays, creating banding and reducing image clarity.
VX Driver™ Meets All Key Standards
With rising expectations for visual clarity and wellness-focused design, stable low-flicker lighting has become essential. Designers and codes now expect luminaires to maintain low temporal modulation across all conditions.
IEEE 1789-2015
Defines safe modulation limits for LEDs, including the NOEL (No Observable Effect Level) zone used as a benchmark for flicker-free performance.
UL Low Optical Flicker
A recognized UL program confirming products with low modulation up to defined frequency ranges, supporting “low flicker” product claims.
WELL Building Standard
Requires lighting systems to maintain low temporal light modulation (v2 – L04) to support occupant comfort and wellness in workplaces and commercial interiors.
California Title 24 (JA8)
Mandates reduced flicker performance for qualifying luminaires, widely treated as a national design baseline for energy and visual quality.
NEMA 77
Provides classification for flicker, stroboscopic effects, and motion artifacts. Used by engineers when comparing driver performance.
See the Difference
Our high-speed test shows how Meteor fixtures equipped with the VX Driver™ maintain smooth, flicker-free light across all dimming levels. No banding, no strobing.

We Live in the Green Zone
The IEEE 1789 lighting industry standard defines safe modulation limits for LEDs. While many drivers drift into the "Low-Risk" (Yellow) or "High-Risk" (White) zones when dimmed, the VX Driver is engineered to stay firmly in the No Observable Effect Level (NOEL) zone at all dimming levels.
This ensures that regardless of the frequency or dimming level, your lighting remains safe for those with photosensitivity and completely invisible to high-speed HD cameras.
