təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre

The təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre in New Westminster, BC, opened in 2024 as a modern, sustainable facility featuring pools, fitness areas, gymnasiums, and community spaces. It’s Canada’s first aquatic centre built to the Zero Carbon Building–Design Standard, emphasizing wellness and environmental responsibility. In the pool area, forty-eight Bolt Series fixtures are seamlessly integrated into the ceiling. The specially designed layered mass timber planes and precise slope angle allow the fixtures to be fully concealed, delivering soft, indirect lighting with no glare. With an IP65 rating, they’re built for durability in natatorium environments. Meanwhile, the gymnasium is illuminated by thirty-seven Dext Series fixtures, which provide bright, uniform light to support active use. Equipped with IK10-rated wire guards, these fixtures offer reliable, impact-resistant performance for high-activity spaces.
