The Oslofjord Convention Center features a large-scale lighting installation with more than 250 Meteor cylinders and recessed downlights, all equipped with Archi-Color® W+RGB technology. Designed by Light Bureau in collaboration with LITE, the scheme enables the space to transition seamlessly between high-performance white light and immersive color environments.
Located in Stokke, Norway, the Oslofjord Convention Center is a fully integrated “Convention Village,” designed to host large-scale gatherings with everything in one place. With accommodation for up to 9,000 guests, multiple arenas, and extensive indoor and outdoor event spaces, the venue operates as a self-contained environment for large events.
The main conference hall spans approximately 5,000 square meters and seats up to 6,800 attendees. It is designed to support a wide range of programming, from conferences and concerts to sporting events and large-scale productions, with infrastructure that accommodates complex staging, rigging, and broadcast requirements.
Beginning in winter 2020, Meteor Lighting supported the relighting of this central venue alongside its U.K.-based partner LITE. The objective was to develop a lighting system capable of adapting to diverse event types while maintaining consistent visual performance.

The installation includes over 150 Atria II 10 high-ceiling cylinders, along with 22 Atria II 6 and 102 REV 4 downlights, forming a layered lighting system that balances high-output illumination with dynamic color capability. Archi-Color® W+RGB technology allows the venue to transition from functional white light to immersive color scenes without compromising light levels.
Working closely with Light Bureau, the team developed a comprehensive lighting simulation tailored to the scale and complexity of the space. The solution incorporates flexible mounting strategies, custom Schuko socket integration on each fixture, and full DMX addressing, enabling precise control across the entire installation.
