Westwood Country Club Court Tennis Court
Our partners at One Source Associates tackled the considerable lighting design challenge for this demanding indoor sport. Strict requirements set by the United States Court Tennis Association (USCTA) necessitated an average illumination of 80 - 90fc and a uniformity ratio of 0.8. The unique features of the court, including its asymmetrical shape, dark walls, and sloped ceiling, required some unique mounting points and innovative lighting solutions. To achieve evenly distributed indirect lighting, 24 Bolt fixtures with 60° asymmetric flood optics were strategically mounted along the wall perimeter and directed towards a highly reflective ceiling. These fixtures were a mix of 440W and 560W luminaires, emitting at 4000K with an 85 CRI. The success of this project was recognized at a prestigious level, with One Source Associates earning a Section Award in the Interior Lighting Design category from the IESDC Illumination Awards Committee.
